Kaya Brennan is an artist, arts worker and facilitator based in Ireland. She holds a BA in Fine Art from CIT Crawford College of Art & Design (2016), and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship for European Creative Industries (2019).

Her artistic practice uses a mixture of print-making and photographic processes. Her most recent projects have dealt with indegenous Irish plant life in the context of folklore and the exploration of her local natural environment through the foraging and production of handmade artistic materials. She was recently awarded a bursary by the Science Gallery of Dublin (2020) to develop a participatory workshop in natural colour-making, exploring traditional techniques of producing art materials using foraged plant matter, food waste and minerals.

She currently works as a Creative Youth Tutor, for the Local Creative Youth Partnership, Limerick (2020) developing participatory arts projects and workshops for community groups and young people. Recent accomplishments include; Print Residency, Creative Spark, (2021), Erasmus+ Placement, Capacity Ireland (2019), Studio Residency, Limerick Printmakers (2018), Student Scholarship, CIT Volunteer Abroad Programme (2016).

She has exhibited in Ireland and internationally at Espacio Magnética (2019), The Hunt Museum (2019), The Belltable (2018), Fab Lab Limerick (2018), Kilkenny Arts Festival (2018), K-Fest (2016-2018), Camden Palace Hotel (2015) and Kilkenny County Council Arts Office (2013).
